Homebuyer Requirements

To qualify for an EHOP-Dallas home you must meet the following guidelines.

Eligible Homebuyer:

1. May not currently own a home.
   
   
2. Must owner-occupy the home.
   
   
3. Must intend to live in the home for at least three (3) years.
   
   
4. Total household income may not exceed 115% of the Dallas Area Median Income (AMI) as outlined in the Household Income Chart.
   
   
5. Must successfully complete a homeownership education course from a HUD approved counseling agency on our list and provide a Certificate of Completion to your lender.
   
   
6. Must conform to IRS filing status.
   
   
7. Must qualify for a conventional, FHA, portfolio mortgage.
   
   
8. Must deposit $500 earnest money at the appropriate approved Title Office.
